Has anyone here tried the no - kill PC? If so how did you do the BMC mines?

no-kill characters have never appealed to me, but i would guess that BMC would be done with prowling and lots of it

Take a potion of speed, keep it in turn-based mode, and run past everything. Use a Scroll of Exiting to get out once you reach Gudmund. Used this tactic in Kerghan's Castle, worked fine.

Yeah, but he wants the gems, he is a Gnome. And a LONG way from invisibility.

You can still open chests while in turn-based combat, with high enough speed to run away afterwards. Otherwise, you'd have to prowl or go invisible (is the Ring of Shadows available at that point in the game?).

I think one would have to be a prowling master to succeed and prevent playing as pacyfist from becoming a terribly mundane task. However in Arcanum it is very hard for a pacifist to earn exp points and you can only become a prowling master once you reach Caladon. That leaves invisibility but it is worse than prowling master imo.

I think I will try Expert prowl backed up by Nightmare. Wish me luck.

10/15; Nightmare is useless, can't even scare off a kite. 4 points of prowl doesn't work either. Used a potion of speed & a scroll of Haste. For the coridor with the traps, scroll of Body of Air, scroll of Exiting for the return.

Got all the gems & jewels from the chests on two levels.

If you're trying to save points (persuasion, etc.) by being a non-combat (low-strength, etc.) character, play as a persuasive gunslinger with Miracle Operation as your Background. Quite easy.

In another game, I have a Mircale Operation 1/2 Orc female. Nothing pacifist about her.

I'm just trying a pacifist as another way to play the game.

This one is a Gnome, Poster Child. Without killing, he needs the EX point bonus.

Nice work, I never thought of using Body of Air to avoid traps. I usually just use a Scroll of Sense Invisible or a Flow Spectrometer to get through that part (though my followers still get damaged along the way).

You mark the traps & the stupid gits step on them anyway.

The pacifist only has Vergil & leaves him outside.

Why would a pacifist need any followers if he isn't killing people.

To use them as pack mules is my guess. On the other hand though you just said it yourself that he does not kill anyone himself ;).

I keep 12 - 18 games going at once. The pacifist, Mahatma Gnomebody, is just one. He only has Vergil, for companionship & pack mule & he yells "F5" a lot.

Any kill by a party member goes in your logbook as yours.

Which is not good - your followers have mind of their own therefoe when they kill someone why should you be held responsible? I tried such reasoning in Falcon's Ache (after all only I were told not to use violence there - stupid ghosts don't discern in such minutiae however. Or perhaps it's evil influence of my law studies?
