This isn't going to be anything big, but it's something that was never mentioned on the Internets. Up to now. Oh, the suspense, it's tangible.

Von Felden. Does that name ring any bells? It might, if you are a Fallout and/or Arcanum player.

In Fallout, Leon von Felden was the head resercher of the Forced Evolutionary Virus back in 2077. He is never seen in the game, but is once mentioned by name in Captain Maxson's Diary as seen here (23th October 2077).

In Arcanum, Dr von Felden is the nemesis of Benjamin Gershwin, doctor of phrenology. He, too, is never seen in the game, but, given the appropriate circumstances, is mentioned by Benjamin Gershwin (as seen here).

Now, while "Felden" may not be that much of a rare surname, "von Felden" is a completely different thing, and two minor characters being named "von Felden" in two games made by the same people who love to include references to real people in their creations? I called fishy.

I did my research and discovered that a certain Tracy von Felden Boyarsky is a friend of a certain Leonard Boyarsky from Blizzard Entertainment on facebook and that a certain Tracy Boyarsky is listed in the credits of Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines under Additional Support. One and two makes three.

I emailed Leonard Boyarsky and he confirmed that indeed, Tracy von Felden is his wife's maiden name and that she voiced the prostitute in V:TM-B. The two von Felden characters are a reference to her.

So there you have it. You just learned some pointless trivia about two characters from your two favourite games which, chances are, you haven't even heard about.

    Wow, that's some useless info!

I only spoke with the prostitute once, I don't remember the voice.

Also, why make your wife voice the whore?

Sir, the inquisitive abilities of your cerebrum is truly beyond the comprehension of lesser men, and doubtlessly comparable to the likes of Mr. Holmes and Monsieur Dupin. That, combined with your curiosity for these obscure yet vital matters makes your every contribution to this board a most entertaining read.

Truly, you deserve your blue retrofuturistic monocle. :salute:

The irrelevance of this knowledge is dwarfed only by your fandom, Muro. Well done!

Without question, sir. It is irrefutable.

Another brilliant catch, mister Muro. I am humbled, and impressed.

Who wouldn't want to voice a whore? I sure would.

Well, we do have this and this. Perhaps we should expand the thread/article with discoveries such as this one or the probable inspiration of Sogg's portrait?
