No, no one has come up with an argument against whaling that you find persuasive. If you swim up against a whale with a knife to hunt it, then fine. Taking high powered harpoons and fifty of your mates is not hunting, it's small-minded slaughtering of the biggest creatures on earth for no other reason than because you can is a great way to ruin the environment and ecosystem at large. Whales aren't a threat to anything in the ocean except small fish. They don't go hunting sharks or people, and yet you feel the need to cull them, because eating them is a 'delicacy'. Fuck all delicacies. How about we start culling some Norweigians as well and eating them?

Hey Qili, I've got fifty of my mates, Charles' Norbic (although I think he meant Nordic, which I think is a bastardisation of Nodick) cook book and some high-powered harpoons. Where can I find the most endangered Norweigians and what goes well with them? I'm really only after the best parts, I figure I'll just throw the rest away.
