A better patch

    I used to have the 1.0.7.4 arcanum patch and my level editor worked fine but recently i had to format my computer (forgot to backup my map i was making too) and now that ive reloaded the patch i cant edit any of the Gamedesc.mes or any other .mes files such as 'internal names' .etc
    I never had this problem befor so is it something ive missed out or is there a better patch i can download (maybe even a previous version befor 1.0.7.4)?

    .mes files need to be associated with a text editor for the 1074 editor to work. It simply loads the program associated with those files. So in Internet Explorer, open a .mes file (double click on it) and when it says "Waah! Open it with what? WITH WHAT!?" you pick a program and tick the "Always open these files with this program, bitch". Then 1074 will work.

    1074 sucks anyway though because you HAVE to se the internal editor and decompile and compile your mod all the bloody time, so stick to 1070.
