4th follower

I started a new game to get my followers earlier in the game and that charisma thing has gotten me. I got the ring, the herbe ammy and gypsy blessing to get me to 15 but it looks like you go from 3 followers to 5 when you charisma to 16. It bypasses the fourth folower.

Since the rin is magical and I'm technical I don't get the full advantage of the ring. Trouble is that you have to be 11 technical to get Jayna! And Magnus won't join you till level 9-10, I'm always too green for him!

I'm trying to keep them around the same level as me but without spending a fate point to get the ring you have to have 2 ranks in pickpocket and apprentice before you can get it.

The way my other games have gone, I can't remember ever having 4 followers. So I guess I have to run around the wilderness and get to lvl 11 to add that extra charisma point.

Awe heck I guess I just start again and leave the one point I had in throwing out and put it in charisma so I can get magnus at lvl 9 then go get dog (lvl12) and do the BMC thing then get chukka (lvl16) by the time I'm at lvl12.

Anyone know if there are lvl requirements for getting dog and chukka? Or do I just continue as I am?

The RoI will work at 18% magic power. That's around 25 - 30% TA.

You get a follower slot for Expert persuasion.

No level requirment for Dog. A 12th level dog is a great addition to a 7th level party BTW. Chukka is the standard 1 level lower. I think he starts at 16.

 

so you have to be lvl 17 to get chukka?

No, 15. most won't joun untill you are one level lower then they are.

 

magnus being one of the exceptions, he's lvl 9 and for some reason I have to be 9 also.

But I restarted and got it figured out how to get 16 cha by lvl 9 with only using the gypsy blessing. the 2nd point into pickpocket isn't needed right now because I don't need the ring yet. I have chr 13 right now at lvl7, lvl8-9 put to 15 and gypsy gets me to 16. then work on persuasion to expert and get chukka.

Its almost tooooooo much like work to try and figure this stuff out. But I do enjoy all the followers and with them doing most of the hitting the exp doesn't go up that fast.

I thought Magnus was level 8, and you could join him at 7? :-?

Of course, *I* can't even figure out where the hell my saves went, so I could be wrong.

Yep, there's Magnus. How the little runt ever got to be level 8 is beyond me. :thumbup:

 

It is not 100% accurate. I have spotted a few errors, but can't remember them.

 

apart from dog the only follower i always get is sogg, i never use magnus or jayna

I always got Magnus at level 7.

 

he must be tempermental, he just shrugged me off at 7 but this game I got him at 8
