I want to start playing a gunslinger character, and I'm planning to save 2 CPs by getting the final blessing. Would 3 points in firearms be enough to fight my way through the game untill I reach Vendigroth? (Without forcing I mean)
It's doable. You might get bored or annoyed with it after a while, but it's doable. I started a new character recently, a gunslinger who didn't rush to put points in firearms like some of my other characters, and it definitely worked. Funny thing though, it was pretty much like my previous characters except I changed the name, and I seem to be critically failing A LOT more than you'd expect.... Plus I found dwarven sheet metal in the BMC mines for the first time, that was a shocker. Um, anyway, go for it. You can do it, I know you can! If it doesn't work out for you, you could always, dunno, start another game.
That's what I'm doing with my current character and he seems to be doing fine. It might help if you put those points into something else that will be helpful in combat. For example, I just built my first Mechanized Arachnid with more to come. Once I finish off smithy, I'll make them into nice Automatons and I think I'll be able to do just fine with them and 3 points in Firearms.
I think I know but not sure. Is "forcing" a area just running past everything to a door or other "portal" that takes you to a diffrent area?
Forcing is going to an area without it already being marked on your map. For instance, going to the Vendigroth Ruins before its place in the main plot. Don't try this with Qintarra.
Why not? As long as you aren't expecting to find Raven there, & don't care about skinning the Giant, everything else is there. Including Jormund at level 20.
I've been told that if you enter Qintarra early Raven will never show, even when it's time. Is this true, and can you continue without speaking with Raven?
Not true, but the conservation with Myrth is cut short, leaving the amulett as the only remaining trigger. No Myrth = no Stillwater Giant. No.
No. I have one gunslinger, 1/2 Ogre, Mad Doctor, who is doing fine at three points Expert. Except for the cash to feed a Mechanized Gun. He had to switch to the Charged Accelerator Gun / Tesla Gun combo instead.
Really? Huh. I swear I've seen at least a dozen threads by people who forced Qintarra and never saw Raven at all. Oh, maybe it was that they had to trigger her by returning the amulet...? I'll have to try that.
