vollinger might be too tech for the helm to have an effect. IIRC, he has 5 schematics and several points in firearms.
beauty can be upped six points with a full magic aptitude with a certain necklace, ring, and blessing. throw in a pow, and you have 10 points in it.
you need high magic aptitude to get all 5 points. the ring at full power gives you 3 be and ch and, IIRC, 2/4 in haggle and persuasion.
if you want stuff for magic followers, invest points in lockpick. youre already tech so it wont mess with your aptitude
