whenever i play arcanum, it is always so dark. it is annoying, because i can't see anything in caves or at night. the brighness is all the way up...
i do not have a very good video card, so mine slows down sometimes, but this is heaven compared to having to run it on safe mode...
make sure you can unlock doors if you use the map trick. i once did it and was stuck in one of those little house thingies whith the weird signs...

it only does that if there is something conflicting with the wall or if the flooring isn't right inside your building. all of the space needs to...

okay, all i did was i copied the arcanum module and i used arcanun to undat all the files in arcanum .dat and i put them into my copied folder....
