Yes you can wear it, but everyone gets a bad reaction from you...even your own NPC's. I had magus threatening to leave when I had it on. So just give it to one of your NPC's they don't need a rep =P

I like Dread Armor, personally. 10000/10000 durability, excellent AC, and so on. Just swap between it and a Smoking Jacket for talking to people.

What he said, I just keep a smoking jacket on me for conversations.

I gave it to Raven

Why the smoking jacket and not the Tux (or whatever it is you start the game in?)

Just wonderin' why the dread armor's stat doesn't list the reaction modifier just like that of the smoking jacket. I haven't used it anyway, too noisy for my taste, I prefer magick robes.=)

I never had a problem with it- people just greeted me by saying "Ho, barbarian!" and then going onto a normal dialogue.

If you have Gar, the orc, then you must let him have it. How is it compare to the Red Barbarian armor? Lower AC and HP, but better at others.

Has anyone else have Gar turn purple because of giving him the Dread Armor?

Check out those orcs in the north boil. Many of them are purple, tough to kill.
