No. Haven't looked for it. May well be in factions.mes (or something similar), but it's just as likely to be hard-coded too. I'm not sure. Thanks.
Yeah, I'm now of the opinion it's hard-coded as well. Basically it comes down to a decision: is this element of the backstory important enough to justify the tangle of scripting (and inaccessibility of generated dialogue) that comes with implementing it, or can it be let go? I'm inclined to let it go. Hard enough doing all this shite by myself, I may have to narrow the scope of the project a bit.
