Are they magic or do they also work for tech? How would my followers react if I raised my charisma to get a new friend into the party with the ring of influence and then took it off again?

The RoI will work at over 30% tech, but you get + 1, 1, 1/4, 1/4.

If you use it to get from, say CH 7 to 8, your follower limit will go from 1 to 2. If you ask your friends to wait, put it back on before you ask them to rejoin. If you use it to get from CH 8 to 9, & to 2 1/4 points of persuasion for Expert training, your follower limit will be 3 & remain there even when you take it off.

I cannot get the Negoiator's ring to function. If you do, tell me how.

Thanks. Do you at least know what it's supposed to do? Increase charisma or persuasion? Or both?

I think one is from the Tailor in Tarant and the other is the one that J.M. Morat gives you after the Master training.

The shopkeeper in Tarant (near the tailor's shop) has the negotiator's ring. J.M.Morat gives you the ring of influence after the Master training.
So does anyone know what the negotiator's ring is supposed to do?

I think it just gives you some extra skill in haggle. At least, I think it did for me. It might depend on how magickal you are.....

It reads 4 uses, but there is no blue button to access whatever spell it is suposed to be charged with. I supect it held a spell that didn't make the final cut. No increase in anything for a 65% MA mage.
