Where is Cedric Appleby (Applebee? sp?) I looked in the Tarant quest alkthru ion this site but it doesn't mention him...

...I want to to this quest, thx in advance.

 

In a large building in the comercial district. North side of the street.

 

Ever noticed that Gilbert Bates in like Bill Gates and Aplleby is lke apple because they're rivals. I don't think you can get any of his quests after you've talked to Bates, so watch out.

 

Yeah thats the biggest easter egg like thing in the game, theres a bunch especially in th newspapers..


Anyway, so how can I do his quests? I have to do them BEFORE I say ANYTHING to Bates? Or can I do them after he is not important to the plot anymore...

 

Once you have cleared the factory for Bates, Cedric won't talk to you anymore.

Yes, I have noticed that. Also, I have noticed Master Bates and masterbates.... hmmm...

 

WHAT!?!? Nooooo!!! Well I guess its another reason to play again when im done w/ this character...

 

Sorry 'bout that, bud.
I wouldn't suggest it except for a last-minute option. It gets you into the Bates Mansion (you have to sabatoge his "new" steam engine, first), but, if it works out, Bates disappears and you run the risk of being heavily attacked by his friends.

 

When can I just kill bates for the fun of it? or When is he not useful to the plot?

 

You can kill him (and any other character in the game) at any time, as long as you're prepared to steal his diary from his bedroom.

 

Reason to cooperste with Bates, money. He gives you cash for doing things you will do anyway. Untill Qintara, then no more cash. Steal his journal & sell it to Appelby then, but keep him alive. If you kill him, the bounty hunters will not come after you. Bounty hunters are a great supply of saleable goodies.

 

They do come after you, I've killed Bates loadsof time and released his journal and they've always come.

 

Hey, what happens when I steal the journal? Give it to the press?

Anyway, I just think the bounty hunters suck, just like ANY random encounter :-o

 

When you meet a "mysterious apparation" you atleast get a reasonable fight.

 

The only mysterious appariotion I saw is "Arronax" and you can't figth him, what are you talking about?

 

Thats the point - the mysterios apparation doesn't suck.
