I know that Dog, Dante, Jormund, and Thorvald are free, but are there any others?

 

Those are all I have found. Well, there is Swyft, if you have max CH, but who would want to keep her? Oh, and then there are Vorpal Sheep.

I think I know where Jormund is, he's the dwarf mage in Quintarra, but where can one find Dante? Thanks in advance.

 

he is in a bar, either in blackroot or dernholm, you can get him when you are trying to retrieve the kings taxes.

 

Dante is in the bar on the boardwalk in Blackroot. You must talk to him after you get the tax quest & before you talk to the mayor. He needs an empty slot to join, but, after waiting & rejoining, doesn't fill one.

 

Arronax aswell but he doesn't count. You can get almost anyone for free by doing the mind control, dweomer shield trick.
