Whats the point of the Hushed Pistol.. I don't get how it is really any different than the fine pistol.... oh yeah btw.. I'm new .. HI uke:
I'm guessing that it's slightly more powerful and quieter, so attracts the attention of any surrounding guards less - giving you a better chance during assasinations where you want to get in and out with as little fuss as possible.
Doesnt help much. They seem to "know" you killed one of theirs. They all come running when you get near them anyway.
yeah thats why I was confused.. I tried using it to kill stuff quitely and it doesn't seem like there is any difference... oh well.. was just curious.. making sure I wasn't crazy and missing the obvious. Thanks
Welcome to forum quamper. Hushed pistol sucks I played as gunslinger thrice and I can assure you it does. Lower damage and, as you noticed it's not a good weapon for assassin. On a sidenote this should be in hint&tips section

Jinxed, is um...not with us. Interpret that as you will . The point of the hushed pistol is that it's slower, does less damage, but only has a sound radius of two. Which means no one can hear it unless you are next to them. Unfortunately, the shouts of their comrades alerts them anyway. If a few things had been implemented better in Arcanum, it could have been oh so much better.
I think something different was written in between the lines. I wonder who'll be the first one to bring up someone's _ _ _ _ _ in this thread.
I only ever use the hushed revolver when I don't need power and I'm just killing for fun...it looks cool, heh
On a related note, remember Fallout 2? Exact opposite problem... I killed the president with an overdose of superstimpacks, and the guy never said a word to his guard. You'd think he'd be suspicious of a complete stranger walking up and sticking needles into him, no?
Heh yup the old wealthy guy with the heart condition from FA2... I think he exploded when you used the stimpaks on him.. pretty cool.. anyways thanks for answering my question.. and thanks for moving this thread to the appropriate forum...
