Machined Plate Hack

Ok, I checked the mod/hack page on the main website and couldn't find it, so where can I get the hack that makes the Machined Plate actually give you the strength bonus? Thanks.

Just keep in mind it only works for plates you make.

 

I'm not sure about that. The Iron Clan armour gave a strength-bonus with the hack anyway.

 

You sure about that? If so you need to let him know.

 

I'm not sure the armour doesn't give the bonus without the hack but it surely does with it.

I got it, made some armor, and I didn't get the strength bonus :sad:.

 

It only works for the Machined Plate found schematic. If you made Machined Plate and its not working you didn't install it correctly. Check the readme.

 

I put the .mes file in arcanum/data/mes, the .scr in arcanum/data/scr, and the .pro files in arcanum/data/proto. If this is wrong, please let me know.

 

Thats right so two more questions.

1. You tried it with the Machined Plate found schematic that requires Elite Plate and Minute Steamworks?

Basic Machined Plate like you get 2 places in Ashbury is not the same thing and the hack doesn't work with it.

2. Your character wasn't already at maximum strength?

 

Yes, I tried it usign the schematic found in the dredge.

No, my character was not at full strength, but maybe it has something to do with the fact that I'm wearing Magnus' Gauntlets, which also boost strength. I'll experiment with that.

 

Shame on you for killing Magnus.

You should get a +3 bonus to strength. If its not working you need to email the Texan with all the info.

Another question are you using Darke Magicks?

 

Killing Magnus!?! Magnus is alive and well, outfitted to the teeth with top of the line gear, I'll have you know. I merely replaced his gauntlets with a pair of war gauntlets and took his for my own :smile:.

Not using Darke Magicks, so I guess I'll just play around with different eq setups, etc. until I get it figured out.

 

Have you tried giving the armor to someone else your size?

Which version of the game do you have?

And which version of the MP hack do you have?

I can personally vouch for the first version working. Haven't tried the new version yet.
