And who were your followers? I personally had a 44 mage (Dren L'elor Premade char), 41 Virgil, 42 Sodd, 44 Dog, 44 Raven. And surprisingly killing that end necromancer dude was REALLY easy. Did anyone else experience this?

Level 50, of course. This game is just too big and too much fun to validate skipping to the ending right away.

I was unlucky enough to have some serious bug problem thus, out of frustration, I sticked to Main Plot mostly and as a result I was level 48 by the end of the game. My followers were Jayna, Magnus and Sogg. They were roughly the same level as my character.

i went in on 34 and came out on a higher number. 5 lvls more maybe. i missed half the game first time round though.
78 with 8 followers is huge i say.

    We've got a cheater!

To Jinxed: We've got a cheater. May we burn him?

Jinxed: How do you know he is a cheater?

To Jinxed: He looks like one!

Me and my two followers were level 40 when I finished the game. My three deamons did all the work though. Level 5 Summoning/Force/Conveyance. Master in Summoning.

All too easy... I must have missed some quests somewhere since I got nowhere near level 50!

The more involved in combat you get, the easier it is to get to level 50.

My character had LV50 before I got to the elven city... haven´t finished it since I had to format my harddrive so my savefile is no more so to say.

Gonna start a new game in a few though...

    And about that LV78 thing.
Personally I dont think it´s cheating, I mean, as long as you get the experience in a proper way. Why not get the experience that you kill for?

I dont use a exp cap remover myslef, but I guess I could after finishing the game once or twice.

yes but the game was designed to only go to lvl 50 so you had to think about where you should put the limited number of cp's that you get (approx 55),

    You´re right.
But as I said, I wouldn´t use it until I finished it a couple of times.

You know, when I want to make a supercharacter to just slaughter everyone with. I did it in BG2 after finishing it like 20 times with different characters.

Well, what I wanted to say was that you should complete the game ATLEAST one time before start "cheating".

Once is nowhere near enough to explore all the options that Arcanum has. I think removing the level cap is cheating, but then again I'm a big anit-cheater advocate.
