An old game. Any ideas?

    Hey guys! A friend of mine is looking for a game she played when she was young. So we searched the internet with no luck. We don't remember the name but the game was played on PC. The only thing we found was this and she said it matches exactly with the game:

    "You control a bunch of round yellow men (they look like yellow eggs with arms and legs) and your objective is to gather resources to build small houses for them to live in. Though there are evil Bulldozers and other enemies who tries and sabotage for you."

    Any help is much appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Frosti, that doesn't make any sense. If you found that description on the internet, how did it not have the title near it?
    Edit;
    You didn't post that question on Yahoo, did you?

    @Grossen
    Actually that is where i got the exact description. So yeah, it was a question on Yahoo and no, there was not a title near it.

    @DarkFool
    I'll show her the game tomorrow so she can tell me if it is the game she meant. Because it is her one wants it, not me. So i can't really tell if that is the correct game.

    Sorry, but I do not think it is an old Settlers. I shall go and try to look for this game. Did she had this game by a magazine or regular (in a computer store, etc.)

    Neither of them. She got it when an IT specialist cleaned her computer and added some games she wanted. She said she played it on windows 95 or 98.

    I'm also looking for one game¨s name for years, and it looks like it's very similar to what you just described.

    Anyway, try to search at gog.com :thumbup:

    It's quite likely that she's misremembered all the details. I find that when I see a movie for a second time years later, it seems quite different from how I remember it. I expect the same goes for games.

    Nono...
    When we first started searching for the game she described it pretty much like i showed above but when we found the description of the game, she said the game is exactly like the description. So no false memories.

    @Crypton
    Time to form a group of old game searchers.

    Could you tell us more details? Was that game before Y2K, or after? Was it in 2D or 3D? Isometric or top-down? Anything else? :)

    I'd like to take advantage of this thread to ask about a game I'm looking for myself.

    Anyone recognises the game that is briefly shown here in the authors intro between 0:16 and 0:17, right after one of the Metal Slugs? I think I recognise it as a game from my earliest youth and would really like to look it up.

    Needless to say, I sent a message to the uploader, but the silence I received in response indicates I won't be getting any answers from him.

    Why, yes! That's it!

    I specifically remembered choosing a character having something to do with a giant skeleton and his hands, a thing that creeped me out as a kid, though I wasn't sure if that wasn't a distorted memory of something completely unrelated. Turns out it wasn't.

    Great thanks for your help, Zanza.

    So... no false memories, except that she changed her mind about what the game was like after she read a description of a possibly different game?

    Right...

    Top down view i belive.

    @Smuel: No. She ´didn't change her opinion, she just said the game is exactly like the guy described.
    And please don't get off topic. Instead of arguing about wether she changed her mind or not(cause she didn't), help me find the game.
    Thank you!

    Okay. In which category would you place this game? Arcade or kind of a strategic game? Because I think it is a bit of both, right?
