Wolfsbane is a herb. Or a poison. I can never seem to remember.

And TPs name is a pretty accurate description of his personality. :) .

That's from the Evil Dead movies.

This may have been the case in the past, but you have since defined its meaning. "Zanza" means "Xiao-killer".

If I remember correctly, it's a herb that supposedly cure the curse of Lycanthropy, or kill them if you do something wrong. Also, it's the old name for Monk's hood or Aconitum spec. I had to learn the Latin names of plants, trees, etc, at Botany as well.

My name is related to an urban legend in Eger of Hungary. Anyone who has been there might understand.

That's quite an interesting way to look at it, I'll give you that.

You aren't one to complain either. After all, a whole fantasy race was named in your honor.

I don't now, I quite like your nick. It matches your avatar and all.

While we're at it, why did you call yourself a big sponge anyway?

No no, that would actually be the desired situation.
People not understanding what I call myself or people knowing the correct meaning - GOOD
People thinking I named myself after something as trivial as a drawing application - SOMEWHAT DEGRADING

You stated yourself that it's the moniker of a zanbato from the Rurouni Kenshin manga, so it does mean something.

I came about my name in 8th grade, I was pretty well pleased with "big sponge," as it mean to me that I absorbed all information as a sponge. It already had a typo in it, I thought it was spelled grossenschwaum, but then I had it changed here. I won't ask for another change to further correct the typo, as my name is pleasing.

You could always point out that you were there before the trivial drawing application and therefore it might have been named after you. And if the other doesn't understand that, hit him hard.

rroyo is a carry-over from my attempts at writing.
rRoyo was the father of my lead City-Elf character.

And here I had always thought you had nicked and tweaked it from Fallout 2.

I agree....having such enigmatic designs for a name gives it meaning and depth of character.

There is without question a uniquity about the individuals here that one does not find in more casual gamer streams or forums. A kind of old school gamers understanding of things with a twinge of intellectual insight. Quite refreshing, really.

Wolfsbane (the plant) is quite poisonous, so you're right on both accounts.

The XL stands for Extra Large, by which I mean that I'm larger then life. It doesn't always have to be a life lesson in disguise.

This is more of a reputation thing and reputation always outruns explanation, plus it works on a grander scale.

Imagine a man using the nickname Fire Fox. He has been using the moniker for ten years now and at the time he chose it, it was unique and intriguing. Yet things have change, haven't they?

Naturally, he can tell individual people how long he has been using the nick and all, but it won't change the fact that most people will always perceive it as something rather uninteresting, unoriginal and copied from an internet bowser.

I'm sure you see what I'm getting at here.

My name came from a level in Donkey Kong Country. About a year ago XBox Live! informed me that I could no longer use it as a gamertag. Not sure if that's because it's copyrighted or because it has Jap in it.

I had to change my name on xbox live. I originally had it set to Bukkake God. One day I sign on and there is a forced name change thing going on. As such, I changed it to Lord Of Bukkake. Imagine my surprise a week later when another forced namechange was initiated. Anyway I changed it back to Bukkake God.

My nick has the least interesting background of all on this forum.

    It's my real name.

P.S. I also take offense when someone misspells my first name with a c.
