Ok, I screwed up, I knew I would ... LOL.

This is in reference to my Stash House thread , albeit a new problem.

I did what I needed to do, followed the AMTUT, made the new scripts for TP tap doors, built the house, added in the new location on the worldmap (gamearea.mes) ...

Ok ... Now when I start Arcanum, I start on the top right of the world map view in the water ... the game doesnt place me at the crash site.

Would anyone know where I messed up? I would imagine a script is missing. that tells the game to place me at the crash site and start the quest with virgil.

    ty for any hints.

OK - Somehow you've reset the start location. If it makes you feel any better, you're not the first one who's done this.

    1) Rename the Arcanum.dat so WorldEd can see it.*
    2) Start WorldEd and open the main Arcanum map.
    3) Go to these coordinates: 92960 x 82592.
    4) In the center of the area framed by tile scripts, right-click, then left-click on Set as Start Location.
    5) Save and exit.
    6) Try it out.

    * I hope this'll work without an Arcanum.dat in place.
If not, reinstall the original Arcanum.dat long enough to do this.

my dumb ... yeah ... didnt make a back up lol.
i'll just uninstall, reinstall, redo the patches, and start again. I didn't lose much in terms of what I did, so another hour and I will have my stash house done again.

maybe thats what the problem was in the 1st place, it didnt have an Arcanum.dat original to work from thus losing the starting point.

I dunno, in any case, im trying your method and if that fails i'll reinstall and make a copy to edit and just rename the original when I am done.
