Well it appears "WolfBoy" is showing true loyalty and accompanying it with a bark. How like a dog you really are.

*throws a handful of Paralysis Powder into Bell Hooks' face*

Puppy, kill. Don't worry about the upholstery, the dry cleaning bill will be COMPLETELY worth it. *adjusts her goggles*

Now, I've never played any pen and paper role-playing games to date (although I do own copies of some of the basic D&D books), but this review is great. At first, I almost wanted to check the .pdfs out (in the way you cant help but look at a car accident) but after a while I realized these guys went through fire to avoid others having to read it. Also, judging by the quotes, I doubt I'd have the mental fortitude to do so.

I do, sailor. Well, assuming I roll high enough on the anal circumference chart. :teeth:

I'm starting to like the new Bokos and, well, I can think of another user who has also been banned pretty frequent in the past. And Xiao, maybe you should try a new type of retort than *Rawr, insert silly action* and *Go Pupy, GO!*.*Oh, look. It turned into a smiley.

    *No offence, Puppy.

    Edit: For greater Polish justice!

'Pupy' would be Polish for 'backsides', which would be the explaination behind my laughter right now.

    EDIT:
    Aww, you fixed it! =<

If you think the review is great, read it in combination with Byron Hall's counter review, in which he destroys any chance he had of trying to pass it off as an elaborate troll.

I can look at most furry porn without blinking, and yet that thing scares me.

I'm in a gaming group that plays what amounts to a very highly customized version of the D&D1 rules (combat initiative is completely redone based on weapon speed; it's pretty weird), and so as part of this we've gotten to see just how many oddities and quirks were in that first version. For example, there's no table to determine base AC in the Player's Handbook... but there is a table dedicated to Minimum Fees For Assassination. And the rules for becoming a "bard" are just nuts.

I think FATAL was done by someone who looked at D&D1 and said "y'know, these tables off to the side are pretty useful, and I like the rules management, but there just isn't enough rape and eurocentrism." It frankly shocks me, for example, that the reviewers didn't notice that the "disposition" system is a blatant D&D ripoff - "Ethical/Unethical" and "Moral/Immoral" versus "Good/Evil" and "Lawful/Chaotic". Every single table in this PDF is like that Minimum Fees For Assassination table. Every one.

Tourette's Syndrome is included among "diseases" such as bubonic plague and leprosy - this despite an extensive "mental ills" section of which better than half of its afflictions are deviant sexual practices. Dwarves can shapeshift - into butterflies, owls, or chipmunks. The "Abilities" chapter features 22 straight pages of nothing but d100 charts and tables. Crime and punishment has 19 pages listing each notable crime and how each race deals with it - with "Rape" for "Human" standing out as the only section that is twice the length of any other description of any other crime's punishments. And, finally, "Roll d1000000 to see if something about a character is a freak of nature."

And that's just the first 200 pages or so.

I feel kind of bad for him for putting in the effort to alphabetize literally hundreds of index terms in the bookmark panel.
