Please don't kill me for the thread title. The good taste centre of my brain temporarily shut down.

Anyway, here's the thing. On a few different places around the web, there's something called the 'Let's Play'. Someone plays a game, posts screenshots or videos of it, and the people watching this poor sap get to suggest what they do next, which adventurers they party with and what painful tortures the main characters must suffer.

I want to do one of these. BADLY. But the only place that does these properly and with rules (that I've found as of time of writing) is Something Awful, and I am not paying the equivalent of $20 to join a place with no standards whatsoever. It's not happening. Not now, not ever.

So, if I was to do a Let's Play, would you guys be interested in letting me do it here? I can promise that I'll let my twisted sense of humour run wild and fairly frequent updates, and most importantly that I'll let you guys actually make decisions.

You'd have my support if the game was Arcanum, BGII, Fallout I/II etc.

Suggesting that Oblivion is a worthwhile game is an offence starting as of now.

The first game is a secret and a surprise, but I'd be happy to run some of the original NWN for you. The original NWN a.) kicks ass and b.) actually looks decent on my system. NWN2... not so much.

Or any great turn-based strategy like Civilization, Alpha Centauri or Master of Orion.

*looks at her game collection* Apparently I need to branch out if the first LP is a success...

This project has the Vorak seal of approval and its official thread is deemed immune to the gravedigging rule.

*squeal of joy that could shatter eardrums* Vorak seal of approval! *ahem* Sorry about the ears, folks.

Now all we need is for a.) the game in question to actually get here, and b.) me to get a little practice in. Hopefully I'll be able to start in the near future. *gives her bank the finger for being so damn slow with monetary transactions*

Oblivion could be decent because of the several ways of approaching encounters, that to the side, I do hope I have Xiao's mystery game.

By the gods, I am absolutely against a project such as this one! The very though, argh!

Now why would I say something like that, anyway?

It already has a V seal, but just to state my opinion, I'm for. Because hell, why not. I'm just curious how will this end up. If there will be any vote for future games, I'll most happily support Arcanum, Fallout 1/2 and Planescape: Torment.

    Pie.

I'd support this as long as you did Oregon Trail at some point. And if you won't, I will.

I honestly think the word "penis"* would be a pretty nice end of this red tunnel of hate, but I must admit that I don't want to risk losing my account.

*Fallos would also fit in nicely.

I guess it's safe to presume that losing an avatar teaches humility.

You most definitely have my vote, redundant as it may be seeing as my other self has already marked it with his walrus of approval.

Just remember to keep it entertaining. Showing your progress is important, but an LP thread is mostly about the lulz. It could be worthwhile to check the Codex for how it's done (and more importantly, not done).
