    Hi folks!

Refering to a friend of mine, Pool of Radiance 2 seems to be a pile of crap. What do you think of it? X

    errrrr?

It's definitely got that bad, now that there's a new patch. However, it depends on your taste. If you're looking for an rpg with many tactical turnbased 3rd edition D&D combat, this is for you. If you're looking for an epic world with towns and people and lotsa NPCs, this is not for you.

Refering to that what I was told the game has many design errors, that never occured in any game since 5+ years, but in PoR2 they seem to have a revival...X

Different people has different tastes and opinions. Flaming games whichthe developers try so hard to make is only recommend to dickless heartless motherless son-of-a-bitches.

You're right in that case. This afternoon I'll see PoR2 with my own eyes, then I can make up my mind about it. X

I don't know if you were able to draw the right conclusion of my previous posts.
I (myself) haven't experienced anything of this particular game yet. And to make that perfectly clear, everything I posted previously was the opinion of a friend, NOT mine. I'm not able to make a judgement about Pool of Radiance 2 because I've not seen, played and "whatevered" it, ok? X

    well...

I understood your posts perfectly. What I meant was this afternoon, you are going to have to play it yourself to know the game. Of course, I was pretending to be mad, gettign mad from a post over internet is only too domb for me.

Ok, then my last post was a bit too harsh, I think. Sorry, meant no offense anyway.
Perhaps I'll get the possibility to get rid of the pc- and PoR2-owner this afternoon so I can play it for a while... X

I'll try. Is it correct to assume that you like that game? X

    well...

I have never played the game, nor do I want to. I was just telling what needs to be told.

I lent the copy of my friend yesterday and installed it on my pc (no problems so far, because there's a install-wrapper patch, that prevents some awful problems to happen).

But I've got a terrible static sound, when I try to play the game; this problem starts with the intro - that's bad enough - but the inplay-sound is so awful you can't stand it and that's why I spent the whole evening downloading soundccard-drivers (as recommended by the ubisoft-tech-support-forum) but with no effect.
My first opinion of the game was really great, but I don't want to play it with this static sound problem.

Does anyone of you has any clues?

Download the patch or turn your speaker off? I dunno.

As far as I know there's no patch yet only the install-wrapper, and turning the sound of...c'mon are you joking? What's a game without sound? X

Is there a better choice? Of course there is, ask a pro, not a dumb-ass like me. Good day.

Thanx so far, your hint is appreciated but it's not quite the solution I would prefer.

I hope that those pros you mentioned read this thread by the time. X

    Yeah, c'mon cheer them up!

But at the meantime I found a possible solution at the por2-tech-forum. This afternoon I'll see if it works. X
