TRoller, I think that you are lacking the intelligence here, because many of the people here, said in many loud words, that you are not wanted here.

Wow, you just noticed that English is not my first language.

The rambling of yours make no impression on me neither.

No, I was thinking at your level, perhaps I should not have done that.

Acting like this, shows that you are still on such school.

Perhaps you dont know the difference between men and women, and your only girlfriends were some barbie dolls, but Xiao_Caity is a woman, so cut the crap with he/she!

Ok maybe i have read more ;) It IS quite interesting to read, but still.. iIRC at the end of the first volume its still full of old stuff. Try Earthsea, now thats a book written by a master, fantasy AND original. Quite funny, now that you mention it, it has some distant resemblance to Arcanum. edited: Or rather, the other way around. I wonder if..

Seems like i couldnt convince you, but no matter. Its a pretty pointless point anyway, because if a mod wishes, he could turn this entire thread into a flower discussion and noone could do a damn thing about it. "Rioting" on some private page, common, there are better things to do.

And remember if you read it and enjoy the book avoid the Earthsea film at all cost.

Haven't read Earthsea and only seen bits of the mini-series.
What's the reason for your statement? Plot changes? Bad acting? etc?

Roller, if you read Eragon, what little hope there is for you will be extinguished. Those books are so bad they make unborn children weep.

On the same line, don't touch the Twilight series either.

Now, if you want good books, any of the following will do nicely:

    *Terry Pratchett
    *Anne McCaffrey
    *Naomi Novik
*Michael Moorcock (even though I found the Elric novels dull beyond belief, the Eternal Champion stuff is quite cool)
    *Douglas Adams

I'm unfamiliar with with Naomi Novik. Anything in particular you'd recommend?

I have never heard of her. These books are also very good:

Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman.(Death Gate Cycle)

    Robert Jordan

    George R. R. Martin

    H P Lovecraft

    Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

    Robert E. Howard

    Clark Ashton Smith

    Edgar Allan Poe

    Nevil Shute (On the Beach)

    George Orwell

Tolkien: Lords Of the Rings trilogy, The Hobbit, The Silmarillion*

Sir Arthur Charles Clarke (Arthur C. Clark)

    * I read and finished this book already when I was 13 year old.(Now I am 32 years old)

One might, yes. And Arthgon probably will, by replying: "No, you are 13!". Plus some killthreats, since his manhood is obviously endangered by this question.

It's nice to see you witty with intelligent remarks instead that grave-digging and terribly annoying version of you. :)
