I've taken MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) tests many times, done some research into it, and I'm confident in stating that I am an INTP.

Turns out that my type is obsessed with analysis, so let's not stop with our personality types, but let's move on to our faiths!

I believe that this test is a rather good one. If any of you are highly religious with a particular religion, take the test anyway! See if your religion matches up to your faith.

    I got
    1. Secular Humanism (100%)
    2. Unitarian Universalism (91%)
    3. Nontheist (86%)
    4. Liberal Quakers (67%)
    5. Theravada Buddhism (66%)
as well. It must have been my choosing Not Applicable for pretty much everything. I just couldn't take the test seriously. It didn't have ANY questions or answers involving beer, wine, or vodka or the consumption of said holy liquids. What kind of damned belief test doesn't include those options? :-x

This test has some serious holes, specifically where non-theists are concerned. All the non-theist answers give equal weight to scientific certainty, irrelevance of the issue, and inscrutability; if you ask me that's insane, as they are VERY different positions.

My actual beliefs are a combination of Neo-Paganism and Shamanism, with emphasis on the Shamanism. It'd drive my mother around the bend if she knew. She's still disappointed that I like women as well as men.

    Neo-paganism? Neo? Meaning New?
Interesting. A new form if one of the oldest religions/belief systems.
What makes it 'neo'? (I'm trying to NOT picture a bunch of folks worshiping the All-Father Keanu Reaves.)

Cool. Been meaning to learn a bit more about Shamanism so I understand it a bit more that what movies and TV have taught me. :/
I've been getting interesting in Shinto, but seeing as how there are no 'holy' books like other religions, I'm having a hard time getting meaningful information.

    *eyes glaze*
    *imagination engages*
*cough* uhm.. excuse me for a bit.

Though theist choices are plenty, I found the palette of non-theist ones very limited. Several other questions are also lacking depth.

    For example

Q11. Doing good works (deeds) and acting compassionately is:
    Necessary.
    Not necessary.
    Not Applicable.

I mean, fuck, what about HARMFUL? Like giving support to various third world countries just increases dependence, and removes a lot of pressure from dictators.

Exactly what I mean...though I don't necessarily agree with that point of view it deserves to be represented.

Aah, now there's something I truly miss about Verdy. Yea, this quiz is pretty inaccurate if you'ren't religious, but if you'ren't religious, why're you taking a religious quiz?

Not believing in God hardly means you don't have religious beliefs.
