What if I stick to my guns and just act the way I am - nice?
I get what you mean and thanks for the advice (and pun), but I ain't planning on changing my personality just because some people ridicule/shoot down another's way of acting.
I don't change who I am in order to belong to a club, I just came her for Arcanum and got myself involved in this discussion. If people rather be ignorant, non-open persons and that makes them happy, than sure I will refrain from doing so anymore.
Personally I am glad I can say I apoligzed about being wrong. I reckon that makes me the better, if I can claim a thing of being better than any other being. After all, whom am I to judge? I smile at the remarks. Trully, I have had worse and they are not getting me down. I just find it surprising the way this forum of fans and modders act. What if all the modders acted like this? It would be strange than to release anything at all...
As for the order, I stated that I still am against guns, but that I was unaware it is in the constitution of America to hold guns... It seems to me outdated and I am still against guns, but I do apoligize for thinking the left side would be to ban it. I enjoy discussions, but I should get my facts straight.
Oh well, it doesn't matter much anyway. My time on this board will drastically diminish anyway as I recently got a job in research.

Every gay couple/person I've ever met hates that idea. Giving them the same thing under a different name makes them feel (and sound) like second-class citizens. While I'mn't a fan of socialism beyond a few, basic, and well-designed programs (none of which exist in this country, btw), I feel that I should point out that, if you like roads, and sewer systems, and water supplies, you're supporting socialism. Oh, and bailing out a bank because they're dying? VERY (bad idea) socialist. Alright, I've discussed my two points. I'm now going to disappear for a day or two.

 

Leonardi da Vinci invented the modern road, sewer systems, water supplies etc. He also developed the modern city (with ratios to boot), and nearly every weapon of modern warfare.

Is he therefore the father of socialism?

 

...technically, no. I'm referring to how we fund all of those systems, and thier maintence. But who knows, maybe Marx idolized da Vinci.

 

Okay. I will post two cents of opinion and then remove myself from this thread for fear of spontaneously combusting out of sheer rage. (A feeling that I get a lot when dealing with this particular issue.)

If gays and lesbians want to get married, let them. It's not as if marriage is a particularly holy or sanctified state any more. And if the religious right get all pissy, remind them of all those parts of the bible that they've abandoned, like stoning people to death or women having to lock themselves away from men when that time of the month comes along.

Probably best we not bring that one back up, I wouldn't put a "Menstruation Isolation Amendment" past 'em (not to mention that the acronym there is the rather appropriate MIA...the propaganda writes itself).
