I know this is crazy and trivial but my wife has been bugging me about it.

When I turn off the "Always Run" option, my character still runs.

BTW, if it helps, I have installed the 1074 patch, UAP patch final (? The Unofficial Patcher says there will be a new update, YAY! :) ), and UAP extra content. I just don't know what I'm doing wrong here.

Why would you want to turn it off?

    So he could walk, obviously.

Re-installing is all I can think to do.

He just wishes to please his wife.

Maybe she just wants to take a walk around Tarrant.

Does the option keep switching back to on whenever you exit the menu? That just happened to me when I tryed it, but I remember it working before. I'm using rroyo's AWIP 4.4 if that makes a difference.

That's correct, I want nothing more than to please my wife. And yes, she wants to walk around the great cities.

And I know that it's in the options. However when I turn it off and get back to the game, my character just starts running again and the Always Run option is turned on again. I just don't know what's happening.

Yes, that's what's happening. But I'm not using rroyo's patch.

I don't know what to tell ya, I only remember trying out that option once and it worked fine. I don't know what the problem is.

But I'm sure someone else will have the answer.

Thank you very much for your help anyway, and I have to explain this to my wife as well.

I just hope that there's a fix for this because she just loves taking her time in doing things while taking in the scenery while wearing her elegant dress.

Actually, I shouldn't say turn it off. I'm not sure which option this selects.

Try it both on and off, Num-Lock toggles the "Always Run" option, but, having been playing Arcanum on a laptop for the past few weeks, I don't have a Num-Lock button, which is why it didn't occur to me at first I imagine.

I'll be sure to check that out. No worries. My wife would be bugging me about it anyway... :D

When Numlock is on it overrides the option setting. Turn it off.
