According to the Global Rich List I am the 245,669,566th richest person in the world. Since both getting ahead of Mr Gates and assassinating the 245,669,565 people before me requires nuclear weapons on my part, I guess I'll just have to settle for oppressing the ≈6 billion bastards below me.

Yes, this is a lame pissing contest.

I know. Perhaps they have a list of the 107,565 richest people in the world and made it impossible to get past that (though I kinda doubt that). It's more likely that they have sorted income into segments, so that if you earn a certain amount you're at the top whatever-percent and that percentage of the world's population happens to equal about 107 thousand people. Way to be incoherent.

Oh, and this is my 4000th post. You may all weep.

There's no point in donating if two neighbouring tribe leaders decide it would be funny to destroy all the new infrastructure they got by donations and investments, in a fucking huge war.

Liberal democracy is what they need, it prevents similar and other abuses pretty effectively.

What the fuck are you talking about?

My income is only calcutable with fifth degree polynomial equations and a thorough understanding of galactic exchange rates as set by the VECP (Vega Economic Conference of Planets) of Earth-Year 1922. So I'll abstain from this one.

    Eh, I'm down at 429,712,644.
DE, I'm guessing that teachers in Sweden get paid much more than they do over in the US.

Well, actually having an income measurable in whole dollar amounts kind of puts you up there anyway.

If I put in what I make now as a student, I'm horribly poor....but if I put in what I'll be making in 2 years (hopefully, the average pay scale) I'll be #29,907,929!!

    So I win. Booyah. Etc.

Pah, you guys with your "degrees".

Of course, having said that, I'll probably be near where Philes will be after I get mine.

Teachers everywhere scarcely get what they need to stay alive. The high figures is because I decided to take a break from Uni and work on a fucking assembly line instead. May not be the most interesting job around, but it pays rather well.

I guess so. Looks like you make twice what I do, and I'm cutting grass right now.

Eh well, by the sound of it you'll soon be cruising around in a brand new Porsche throwing joint butts at every lawnmower man you pass by, so I guess that makes it a fair deal.

Although when you said "landscaping", I actually imagined something a bit more flashy than pushing a lawnmower around. I could see it in front of me, you calibrating a measuring device to calculate the exact angle of some Hollywood star's custom made hill.

My view of America is thwarted.

No, when I said that, I was trying to glorify my obvious lack of an interesting job. Saying that I landscape is much more interesting than saying, "Oh yeah...I cut grass up to 13 hours a day."
I do get the odd job making various planting beds to accentuate a person's house, be it with stones or mulch, but really...I just cut grass. However, after I get my degree I'm going to do exactly what you describe, and probably to my former co-workers who seem to have no ambition.
