No, I'm not a powergamer...

I started the game as usual (Escaped Lunatic background, robbed Ristezze, bought a Dark Helm, got max magick aptitude, got Harm and Unlock Cantrip, robbed the Mage shop in Tarant, bought an Arcane set)

I was levelling until I maxed out my charisma and Persuasion. Did the Persuasion Master quest. Got Virgil, Dante, Geoffrey, Perriman, Z'an and Raven.

I got the Baneful Gauntlets and the Fool's Dagger. By this time I had ~130 000 gold. Bought lots of Arcane sets so all of my followers got one. If my money ran out, I'd simply "kill" the Wise Woman with the Baneful Gauntlet and the Fool's Dagger and revive her. I also got everyone 30 scrolls, 10 Morgana's Tears, 10 Greater Fatigue Restore, 5 Potion of Haste and 5 Fatigue Slower.

I got the Ring of Shadows. Used the bug to stay invisible. At Kree, I got the gold statue without killing anyone and used another bug to get 100 fate points (Just for fun, I used some of the fate points to take away their boots unnoticeably)

I travelled to Stringy Pete and used fate points to steal everything he was wielding without him noticing. Used a Disintegrate spell to kill him.

Then I sat back and watched my 6 mage followers armed to the teeth kicking the asses of Pete's minions in the most epic battle I have ever seen in Arcanum.

I'm going to have to try this.

BTW: What is your definition of powergaming?

 

Well, if exploiting 3 bugs and 4 questionable features in order to arm 7 characters of the strongest class to the teeth and then laughing as the strongest enemies in the entire game are helplessly being teared to pieces isn't powergaming, then I don't know what IS powergaming.

 

What is "Arcane" stuff, where can it be found, and why was the OP implying it could be used just as well to equip tech characters as well as magic?

 

Arcane is best generic magickal equipment there is.

How exactly do you buy that from wise women? I never seem to see them sell any. Does it come in a mod? Do you wait and wait and wait until they offer it? I only ever found a few arcane items from chests.

Well, rroyo's mod changed the inventory of wise women, so everything was available every time, but I think he changed it back in the last release.

Anyway, if you have enough time, you can buy them normally.

I spent over 9 hours refreshing shops and only got one or two arcane sets. (I've got like 10 followers T_T)

 

What is the name of rroyo's mod to change the wise womens inventory?Any mod filename in the downloads doesn't make it obvious.

Edit: Never mind, I think I found it. Invensource seems to be the right one I need. Trying option 1. If I am wrong please let me know. I am going for all Arcane Equipment from Shrouded Hills wise women.

No you didn't.

With the invensource hack you'll need to modify it to have all the Arcane items come up and that requires the list from either AMTUT, The WorldEd manual, or discription.mes from the Arcanum3.dat.
