I'm sure this is old news to all of you, but I recently stumbled upon the fan graveyard, totally by accident, and it makes me even more mad that Troika didn't succeed financially. You can tell they fucking loved their fans, and got them. Totally appreciated them. It makes me upset that companies like Black Isle and Clover and Troika and others who make awesome, innovative games and have great rapports with their fans get the axe or fade away while crap or mediocre companies stay afloat and make Barbie's Horse Adventures or Marine Sharpshooter III or Nancy Drew and Agatha Christie games or Total Extreme Wrestling or whatever. :x

Unfortunately those type of games have a much bigger market.

I think we need to have Obsidian absorb the rest of Black Isle and Troika and start producing a game called Barbie's Agatha Drew Total Extreme Sharpshooting II so that everyone buys it...only it's actually just Arcanum II.

The fact that Troika made a graveyard for their fans, says quite a lot about the market for Arcanum,

Yes that too, I was thinking more along the lines, of Troika not having "too many fans".

Or the irony that they used a graveyard despite the fact that they had only released one game. They knew the end was coming.

What kills me about the place is they created a beautiful little graveyard full of fresh graves next to a big-assed swamp - and then did nothing with it. There's what - a total of 5 bad guys to kill? That's on top of no treasure, no hidden crypt, no endless hordes of zombies, and no mystery to solve. That bites to the bone.

I'd love to know what was originally planned for that place.

I think it was. Just a couple dozen sectors of swamp and one Fen Fiend.

    Whoopie-ding-dong....

There are a lot more than 2 easter eggs, its just that the fan graveyard and the aerial decapitator are the only hidden locations.

That village was modelled after The Smurfs

Well, that in fact is almost the same, isnt it? ;)

Speaking of easter eggs, I remember a half-ogre trainer of mini-monkeys with a circus-like name which I don't remember at the moment. Was that also some kind of reference to something, like the smurf village?
