I have a shovel and i cant dig up stringy petes treasure????? whats wrong ???

 

you need to clik on the pile.
put it in your quick slot and use it from there on the piled up sand. If you haven't already tried

 

tried that for some reason i cant highlight the pile at all?

 

Any thing you can't highlight, you can't select. You must be referring to the wrong pile.

 

I hope you are going to the location Stringy Petes Treasure on your world map.

 

You can't dig up his grave, obviously.
You have to *leave*, go to the *world map*, and walk to the place labeled *stringy pete's treasure*.

 

Not all things can be digged up.
