I seem to have a problem... I got to Ashbury. And I find "Worthless mutt" dead. Isn't he supposed to be alive, from what I gather?! Not only that, but the chick in the firearms mastery quest is dead too! And no, she definitely didn't die in crossfire or anything like that, trust me.

Nooo! What the hell is wrong with my game?

    Edit; nevermind:

    Damnit!

Hmmm... Don't you happen to have a nightmare where you kill everybody in Arcanum, then approach the Lethe Wyvern?

Ah well, I just started the town over... Now I've got 'Dogmeat' and my Firearms Mastery. Guess the dead chick was a glitch the first time round, or something...

    :D

Frigo, the Pyrotechnic Axe doesn't take damage, but it is ridiculously overpowered.

ViolentOpposition, if the Dog is dead when you get there, just ressurect him and he automatically joins your party anyway.

Ressurection? That sounds 'magicky', I don't 'do' magick. At all.

    :p

But damn, that dog does wonders! And I'm enjoying the game so far... just got to some skeleton who wants me to get his 'blood', or something like that, back. And then after that, next stop: Isle of Despair.

There are potions you can buy in herbalist's shops called "Restore Life".
They cost about 1000 coin each, and work on everyone, regardless of technological or magical aptitude.
Or, you can find the "reanimator" schematic on the Isle of Dispair, at Shades Beach, to be exact. Of course, if you go to the isle of dispair the dog's body will disappear if it was dead before you left.

In Caladan you can buy 3 magical beans for a cheap price. Buy them, identify them and they are 3 beans of restore life if I wasn't mistaken.

The gnome(?) is standing on an intersection in the south east of caladon near the zoo, next to a rock/stone.

Haven't been there for a real life year, so please correct my wrong data.

I never tried them out, I always identified them and sold them. So do they work just like a scroll? They are suppossed to give either a full heal or a ressurection.

No, they're better than a scroll, because everyone can use them.
Unlike other magickal items, if your technical aptitude is at 100, those beans will work if you use them on another person. They do a full heal as well as a resurrection.
