Help with statue thief in Stillwater

Is there a way to get the statue without sneaking in and stealing it or killing him?

I hate killing people without reason and I suck at picking locks...

 

Well there is a good reason to kill him, he commited a theft. And not just any theft, he stole a god's statue - they dun like that

i read somewhere their was a dialouge option where you could talk him out of it.. but even w/ my stats on the negotiator.. it wasn't an option.. had to kill him solo (#wait) so that i wouldn't get any bad reactions.

 

what you can do is persuade the priestes to bless him but if you suck at persuasion the only way without bloodshed is to use a fate point to pickpocket the key from him

I think beauty. I have high persuasion but never got the dialogue until I talk to the priestess to raise my beauty then the thief gave me the statue. I don't know how I carry it but it was huge.

 

you need onlt persuading her.

There should be a dialogue option where you can blame him so he attacks or something...

Anyway who has the statue. Is it the thief whowants you to get the ruby? I actually forgot about this quest and now I don't feel very much like talking to everyone in Stillwater.

Marley stole the statue, he lives southeast of the inn on the otherside of the mountain (off the town map)

You may say him that he will blessed by Gestiana's priest returning the statue (exp in persuasion rather low int). So no blood.
