I can't find anything from metallica that sounds like st. anger. I look at the big picture as well, their image. Look at the video clip of st anger. The whole thing screams of trying to get a bite of the recent angst metal pie.

Who needs long hair in metal these days anyway? It's not hip.

In an interview with metallica one of them said something like this:

A kid came up to me with the load album and an old one, and said I don't know who these guys on the load album are, short hair, cigars looking like a bunch of pimps.

I'll agree with you that his being gay doesn't mean anything, but I still don't like Queen. Mercury's voice just creeps me out, and I know that it has nothing to do with his being gay. I respect gay people just as much as I respect straight people, it's just something that goes against my religion and I believe to be wrong. If he were a murderer or a prostitute I would probably have mentioned that too. I ask the forgiveness of anyone I offended by saying that. It was more matter-of-factly than offensive, but I realise now that with the wrong interpretation it could have offended some people, therefore I apologize.

    Never heard of:
    Aphex Twin
    Massive Attack
    Way Out West
    Kilowatts

    Have heard of and like:
    Manowar
    Children of Bodom
    Demons and Wizards
    Blind Guardian
    Iron Maiden

Have heard of and don't like so much:
    Stone Temple Pilots
    Nirvana
    Tool
    [Edit=sorry, wrong place] Perfect Circle

You said you like Aphex Twin very much, what type of metal are they?

The Black album of Metallica is in my eyes the holy grail of Metal if there ever was one.

OMG!.. you don't like Queen! :-o

Nightwish, After Forever and Lacuna coil are three of those on the same genre. You can add Within Temptation to that list btw... but I'm not a huge fan of them. Their also from the Netherlands you see and have gone WAY too much Pop-metal lately  . Saw them live though... was nice.. nothing spectecular.
Dream Theater I know as well of course... then again... I know a lot of bands :p

Surprised you know Summoning but don't know many bands such as Fintroll or Ensiferum which are way more wide-spread popular.
Elexorien you can't possibly know since they're a band of people I know :p... you can even download their 3 song demo (which is awesom btw :-o ) at their site: double-u-X-3 DOT elexorien DOT com ;)
oOOH ooh.. someone's promoting here!!! :p

It is true that it is very easy to fall asleep to vivaldi. (we used it to calm down retards(the real thing not the HOL type) the last place I worked) However it is really okay music, especially the four seasons has hit a spot with me.

Yes, I respect all people equally. I don't respect murderers or prostitutes's actions, though.

St.Anger originated in music they played before their CD debut.

Uhm, you are aware of what Hetfield went through right before the recording of St.Anger, right?

Now all of a sudden, you care about what's hip or not?

You respect all people equally, but if they go against your religion you just hate their actions, who they are, and everything about them.

    Precious.

you know, piopio, if you just admit to hating certain people, we'll like you better than if you try to pass off that "i respect and like everyone, i just hate their actions" bullshit.

There is a huge difference between hate and disrespect. Also, I never said I desrespect everything about them, I just disrespect the fact that they murder, or sell sex. By the way, I never used the word hate.

(I see you called me piopio, will that be your name for me from now on?)

If I kill someone in selfdefence or to defend other people will you disrespect me?

There's also a difference between murder and kill. When I say murder I don't mean by accident or in self defense. I mean in cold blood or without a valid reason.
