I like the idea of the game being set in the early 1900's, say 1900-1918. Say the big baddie in the game had ALREADY gone back in time and started a War or become the leader of some powerful nation? Perhaps at the start you wouldn't actually know whether he'd gone back or not, you'd be trying to stop him, then when you finally catch up to him he has already done so. This would negate the orignal Arcanum storyline as let's assume he had gone back before the start of Arcanum. ...still, I think the Age of Legends is still better. :p

Who says hes from the future?

He could BE from the Age of Legends... if time travel is involved expect surprises! :D

There is no way of describing a really good storyline involving TT it MUST be played out by the player. Because describing it would wreck the suspence and the revelations and discovery that the player would make while playing.

So it may sound dumb when I describe it but when its played out it would be interesting.

1900-1919 or so is a good date for innovation still, more advanced Electronics (acutally Electronics period) better Machining, Chemestry, Biology, Medicine that really works (well really crudely), ect...

Also not to leave the Magical users out, Enchantment of Items or Magical Forging. Magic would still be crippled by the 'user' still, as you would need MAJOR stamina to Enchant and a High INT/WILL for the spells to last longer than a week or 3.

Magical Shielding for tech items; a sort of Faraday Anti-Magic Cage to allow really sensitive Tech items to work EVEN when used by a Magic user.
Of course using a "Hi-Tech" item as a mage would cause more spells to fail than usual.

Who knows perhaps the Mages have uncovered that lost college of Magic by then...?

Wasn't clairvoyance the last, forgotten college? And if so, then who is really the gypsy seer in Tarant? Also, time travel should be less destructive if you take a view, that all, that could possibly happen, happens in this, or parallel universe. This way, whenever someone would travel "pastwards" they wouldn't change THEIR history, as there were no time travellers, when he was born. His arrival just creates an alternate world. This means, that even, when he doesn't get born in the world he travelled to, he still doesn't disappear, as his "real" past, from which he comes is locked in a way. There just were no time travellers, so any, that will appear will create an alternate world, which will not affect the "core world".

What is supposed to have happened to the Molochean Hand at the end of the game?

If they are still "around" then they could be a storyline hook for the next game

Molochean hand... hmmm... Well they wer'nt working for the Dark Elves anymore. Also no more Dark Elves period :rifle:  :minigun:

I don't think they were killed off, more likely they lost their employer. Since they are a secretive order of assasins, its really back to normal for them.

Also yeah, the Multi-Dimensioned version of TimeTravel where you can't do anything wrong because you are really in an alternate dimension. Also VERY convinient for alternate history, ect...

Erh yeah, forgot about that. And Peljorian too... clairvoyance must be the 'lost' college, assuming there are not other lost ones as well.
