    Of the 5057 registered forum users, only 1842 have made more than 1 post. Only a third of those, 649, have made more than 10 posts. We have 3215 members who have made 0 posts. That's 64% of all registered users.

    0 posts = 3215
    1 - 9 posts = 1193
    10 - 99 = 483
    100 - 499 = 120
    500 - 999 posts = 25
    1000 - 1999 posts = 14
    2000 or more posts = 7

    Maybe you should make your database a bit smaller by pruning the members that have never posted, and maybe even the ones that have only posted once, but it was over a month back.

    The hack is simple to add and can be found here.

    I think everyone over a year old that hasn't posted needs to go, as well as everyone over two years old that has posted only once-twice.

    A whole 500 kb smaller. Woohoo. If we delete unposted users, it won't be to shrink the DB. If I wanted to do that, I'd ditch the 50 MB word list table. Only then no-one would be able to use the search function to find old posts...

    Nope. Anyone who hasn't posted *might* get the boot, but as soon as you start deleting those that have posted, you end up with a whole bunch of "anonymous" posts in the forums, which doesn't look aesthetically pleasing.

    As I've said before, I'm not inclined to delete unposted users at this stage. I might delete all those with 0 posts who registered over 6 months ago at a later stage though. We'll see.

    There was also a bunch of members who've had more then one acount, they forgot thier password or something. :p

    I'd tell you to do a mass e-mail...but that's a ton of e-mails to send...and tons of e-mails you'd recieve...so that may not be worth it.

    No, I don't think so. I think it will just look like our Admin is lazy. Which isn't bad thing in itself.

    I've found that admin is the best postition you could possibly have if you're slacky. After all, if someone starts whining over your laziness, and thus annoys the shit out of you, you could just ban him to oblivion - after a period of public harassment of the member in question, of course.

    Now, if only the opportunity to actually do this would present itself...
