I cant seem to be able to save a dialogue as a dlg file. My coputer automatically sets all txt files w/the .txt extension or doc files likewise. Even if I add the extension .dlg in the name I'm saving it as, it still adds the other extensions. ie: LordofthePit.dlg.txt
I need the file extension to be dlg. Any help?[/b]

Oh come on! You honestly can't work it out? :-o

Simply save the file as a normal .txt file, and then rename it! Yes, it's as simple as that! Either right-click the file and then select rename, or select the file and press F2 (same thing, just easier).

Uh.. just thought of something. Those of you who seem to like Microsoft to dictate your life to you might have the 'hide file extensions of known type' box checked. You might need this unchecked in order to change the file extension with the rename function. To do so, just go to Windows Explorer, and open the Tool menu and select Options.

Select the middle tab (view) and then make sure the 4th option down is unchecked (that's the one below the three 'hidden file' options).

Jees I new it had to be something simple but for the life of me I couldn't figure it out. I had the hide file extension box checked.

You use it in a sentence. Like "How are {G:} today?" or "What's up with your {G:}?"

    OR,
you can bypass this entirely when you are saving by doing this:

change save as: .txt text file to
    .* all files

    and save it as: yournamehere.dlg
