which character are you playing with?

Has anyone done a Gambling Master before? I'm interested in how such a Social based character would progress through the game.

 

Not that good, because the NPC vendors dislike you more and more as you win their items, and in the end, they attack you =\

The money to be gained is quite limited.

Only insta-winning Edward Teach's ship comes to my mind as an advantage, but that isn't much important.

 

I am just getting started on two simultaneous playthroughs after a long hiatus.

The first is a mildly charismatic female half-elf technologist gunman, with an interest in Electricals and Gunsmithy. She's a society type, and a lady in every regard, especially considering her brazen and businesslike approach to life. That said, she's more an apathetic noble than a truly evil character, but she certainly doesn't go in for all this Living One nonsense at any rate. At least, not yet. I'm not going for extreme persuasiveness, and I'll be abandoning it as well as charisma at CHA 12.

The second is a gnomish businessman, very charismatic, but with no points in persuasion. He'll be using guns, but only when absolutely necessary. His followers will be handling most of the dirtier work for him. He shares the first character's brash and cold approach, but with a dose of corrupting capitalistic megalomania thrown in. This one is calculating and sadistic, with a strong mercantile influence and command of language. He'll spend most of the game treasure hunting on whims (he's the adventurous sort, and psychologically undaunted by any threat) and working people over in daring and cunniving schemes. I'll be dumping points into charisma, haggle, firearms, perception, willpower, and, if I decide I want more followers (which I probably will), a bit of persuasion.

 

Haggle requires Willpower.

Right now, a female Elf mage with the Debutante background, using Earth, Water and Conveyance magic, with points in Haggle and Persuasion, with currently having Virgil and Sogg in the party.
