Yes exactly, I'm glad someone else gets it! No I'm just not keen on abuses of power by an unelected leader of a country to bypass normal parliamentary procedure - leave or remain put entirely to one side. It reminds me of a time when a chancellor got extra powers, and made some sweet Autobahns, and then I forget the rest. Fortunately it looks like Benn's bill will pass as even Conservative MPs weren't happy to let such a gross abuse to stand - putting their political careers at risk to avoid us crashing out on terms that an elected parliament have no say in. The Leave campaign under Boris assured the UK that a deal would be possible because we were too big of a player for Europe to not allow it, I'd say very few people were voting for the massive recession that no deal would bring. As surprising as it may seem, I don't have an axe to grind about the vote itself. I also do greatly enjoy explaining that I'm not just a butthurt lefty whiner just because I'm not a fan of the dictatorial-leaning hard-right fuckheads that seem to be in charge of so many of the world's governments right now, obviously. Centrist politics man, where are they these days? Good morning.
