    Well, when a guy really likes a girl and a girl is sufficiently drunk, the guy and the girl get together and sometimes, as a result, little bitty PRO files pop out. They're then harvested by developers to use in their computer games.

    That would be a joke in real DU style.

    But still if its a dumb question expect a dumb answer.

    I learned that arcanum takes prototype data, which is easily understandable and editable (like unique.txt, monster.txt, npc.txt) and compiles it into annoying .pro files.

    The three files mentioned above contain only a third of all prototype data. (and none of it is overly usefull, unless you're playing a god)
    So, where's the rest of it? Items, armor, weapons?
    Arcanum generates them from somewhere, no?

    No. The weapon, armour etc.. details are all stored in the .PRO files.

    If you want to mess with those, this might help.
