The list of the members is very familiar, I guess everybody is going to jump from one board to another.

Anyway I didn’t play the demo yet, because lack of the rest of the game would make me really upset, well my question is when you refuse to take Virgil is it possible to go back and take him.

the problem is, er.. that NPC level up when you do, so if you walk away for say 10 levels or so, virgil will never get closer then 10levels from your level.

thus he well be 10 levels weaker then you the whole game :/

monkey? so how does that work with other NPC's you meet along the way?
are they all the same level as you when you meet them? or are some of them higher and therefore you will never get as high a level as they are....even tho they would need more XP's to gain a level than you would

to my knowlage they wont join until you are experienced enough, in the first beta i don't think this was the same as

    my level = X
    NPC level= Y

    X<Y = wont join

but rather it could be something like this.

so while sogg joined me at level 2, i was just level 1(i just ran through the first area in this attempt)he would join(i had a charisma of 9 or higher). anyway back then it seems that he didn't level up until i leveld up to level 3, and then he was 3 as well. and then i countined to level up each time i did so.

anyway, what i was about to say is, that it can be different from NPC to NPC, depending on settings on that NPC.

Just to add to what monkey said, you meet different level NPCs(joinable ones) later in the game, they're spaced very well so you when you meet them you should be about the same level as them, but their starting level is fixed.

There isn't by any chance a list of npc's that can join along with a short description anywhere?

There is a list of some names in the demo. Open up a character screen and click on the upper right button that activates the autoleveling schemes. Scroll down to the bottom of that list to see the names of some of the NPC's who could be in your entourage. No info about them, though. Just names.
