Well, an oath of sorts should be for everyone. Just the normal things: don't be a spai, traitor, rogue, thief, etc. (Simply to lay a legal groundwork for ZI:ing anyone who has the bad judgement to mess with us.)

Other than that I think some relatively simple screening process would be enough. Not apprenticeships or trial memberships for a week or two, because that's just annoying.

Well I don't want questioning like at the GC.

How about any applicant is either approved or denied with 24hrs or so and within this time any HoL member who wants to can do a quick check of any wars and foreign aid to do with the nation. If the nation is already at war, has been in a lot of aggressive wars or has some suspicious looking FA offers we can deny them membership.

Also, if someone is coming over to us from another alliance, we can get an Ambassador to do a quick background check by asking the applicants old alliance what they are like.

This would be far quicker than questioning, which while fun is slow and really doesn't provide much since an applicant can lie through the whole thing like we all did.

Well, you can ask basic things, the dumbest (and most uncontrollable) applicants will be filtered that way.

I'm all for the background check. Facts don't lie.

Also, the questioning in the GC was a fucking joke. It was all about woodchucks and random silliness anyway.

If you have two or three asking questions it can work, but when you have to answer question from 12 peoples it's going out of hand...
