I don't even want to think how many people after seing that thought that someone changed their favourite meat poster into a nazi one to discredit their lovely America's Meat Roundup.

I was going to answer that, but Yuki and DE pretty much summed it up. :p

Isn't that like declaring a corpse being immune to death?

But, you can't kill a corpse, can you?

That is correct. And it was the very point of my statement, by the way.

Well, you can't exactly kill a stone, either.

I can heat the stone up to hundreds of degrees Celsius, killing all of the bacteria living on it, which in a way would kill the stone itself by decreasing the concentration of life in it.

You can kill a stone by breaking it. Preferably by grinding it up into powder and feeding it to some unsuspecting enemy.

Hitler would have killed the stone though.

Firstly, I wonder where've you gotten the idea of Donn Throgg as a communist, because the game itself does not in any way imply that. The famous half-orc is a classic civil rights activist. Well, maybe with a tint of social democratic views at most. He struggles for equality and against exploitation of the proletariat, which in Arcanum is mainly presented by orcish labourers. And the National Socialist German Workers’ Party, to which tou refer originally had several social points in their programme before, you know, all the "superior race" crap kicked in.

And about the copyright problem... Basically, there's no problem at all, for the war and civil posters were always copied in numerous variations. The vivid example of such a process you can find here (wikipedia entry about a Lord Kitchener "finger" plaque). The "several imitations" that are mentioned are in truth a full scale production. So it was like "I love that poster! Let's change it a bit and use it ourselves":

In addition, here's the plaque of Vault-Tec from Fallout 3, that was ripped off the soviet war poster. See it for yourselves. It's not stealing as it is, but rather like a real life reference. And we like that kind of reference in a computer game very much, now don't we?

I'm glad Constantinus wrote that. I'd rather know about the posters he mentioned than not. As for coming aboard the rage train againts gravedigging:

I'd say the god of common sense himself spoke through him on that beautiful bright day. Sir, it was actually a night. Oh do shut up, inner voice of unknown origin.

Right. He's probably drowned himself due to your deadly sarcasm. Search for 'em in a lake or something. Anyways, that would be funny if it wasn't so predictable. If I have a bit of valuable (at least from my point of view) information on the topic (which wasn't abandoned for a really long time, really), why in the blue blazes do I have to choke it down or start a new one-post thread?
