Did anyone meet him? I finished Arcanum only once, skipped most places and I'm pretty sure I didn't run into him.

Sure did. After you ressurect Virgil at the sobbing onions. OR when you butcher Stillwater you meet him.

 

So this is where my topic ended up at.

Thanks for info, I never kept Virgil long enough for him to die, nor did I butcher Stillwater. I'm just starting my 2nd game as an elven/female/evil/melee/mage/thief so I'll check it out.

 

Make sure you visit the inn in Shrouded Hills, the telegraph office in Tarant, and the inn in Stillwater to get all of Joachim's messages along the way.

 

Do I also need to carry these messages with me or is reading them enough?

its the evil quest. you pretty much join up with the dark elves and dont go find the nasridin guy.

 

When you join Min Gorad, she gives you the quest (to slaughter all the inhabitants of Stillwater) as a proof of loyalty.

 

You may also play an evil character and search out Nasrudin. Because you are evil the ancient dwarf will give you a quest to prove yourself to him. Later, at the Ring of Bolgar, both Nasrudin and KinHua will be waiting to send you into the Void. At this point you can continue as an evil character or have a "change of heart" and play a good guy....or have that change of heart after venturing about in the Void.
