Discussion for The towers of Dusk and Dawn

Ok, I know the names of the towers are stolen from Morrowind, but they are really cool and I couldn't think of anything better.

Post your characters here if you like, or post anything you think is relevant to the story or the world in which it takes place. Let's create this thing together.

I think we need a war, to spice things up. The war doesn't have to have reached the land in which the story takes place yet, but people are nevertheless preparing for the worst, as is the king and is nobles. Any thoughts on this?

Secondly; let's not reveal what the Towers are just yet. Let's make them something we create along with the plot, something mysterious or dangerous or whatever. I think the story should somehow be connected to the towers, but that's my opinion and we should discuss the matter before assuming anything.

Katie Reuben

Age: 22
Appearance: 5'1", slender, pale skin, curly caramel brown hair, caramel brown eyes, always looks tired, chemical stains and burns up both both arms almost to the elbows.

Background: Born in the middle-class area of Scarlet Cross, Katie was lucky enough to have a relatively comfortable childhood. The kind of child who tended to hang on to the apron strings of her mother, it was little surprise to anyone that she showed an interest in her mother's greatest skill - Alchemy. Learning her future trade at her mother's knee, Katie has had the great fortune of always doing exactly what she wanted to do with her life. Now full grown and living on her own, she pays her bills through her talent, frequently leaving the city to search for ingredients for her recipes. Returning from her latest trip, she has been hearing whispers of an invasion...

 

Ecthelion Coamenel


Race: Elf
Gender: Male
Age: 127
Appearance: 6'5" Short golden hair, green eyes, athletic build, with callus in his hands.

Background:
Ecthelion grow up in the elven city Tawar-in-Drúedain in the north. But he was always a restless child, and when he got old enough he gathered his possessions and headed out in the world to travel the vast domains of the humans. So now he wanders the world, mainly in search for adventure and the hope that humans are better people than they look like, and no the turn has come for Scarlet Cross to get a visit from an elf.

 

Here's my character.

Yimadwe Rynn
Race:Elf
Gender: Male
Age: 57

The son of a well to do sword trainer, Yimadwe led a peaceful and happy life until his thirty-ninth year when a plague raveged his village. Loseing his mother, brother, and betrothed in a single week almost broke his spirit and when his father died a year later, he began drifting from town to town drinking himself numb until he gets thrown out.

Once a very vain and attractive elf, the plague left him with features scarred and pockmarked, his once good looks now lost. He wraps his face in bandages to hide it and wears a deep hooded cloak - the last peice of clothing he left the village with. Before the plague he had been a gifted duelist, but years of disuse and drink have dulled his skills. Still a fearsome swordsman, he would be terrifing if he ever regained his self respect, but so far he has been unable to recover from his loss.

Currently a street drunk in the slums of Scarlet Cross, he has been working on the docks to pay for his booze. He greets the rumors of war with barely a shug and wonders if there's anything worthwhile left in the world.

 

In case nobody had guessed yet, it's worth noting the following:

Katie is sweet, cheerful, naive and easily duped. She's the token innocent in all this.

 

The inn my character has his things at just happens to be the one you all are traipsing towards...

What should it be called?
