    So I'm following AMTUT, and I got to the dialogue chapter in part 3. Anyways, I did everything he says to do, but I don't get the error that he mentions here:
    So I tried it out in Arcanum anyways, hoping that it would work, even though what was supposed to happen didn't, and as I expected - it didn't work. The NPC still just gives the usual floating text above his head stuff.

    Can anyone please help?

    Thank you

    BEFORE YOU WILL READ MY POST... JUST SHOW ME HOW LOOKS YOUR DLG FILE, BECAUSE I THINK THATS THE PROBLEM...

    Your script have to have name like this:
    xxxxxTEXT.scr and dialog must have the same name xxxxxTEXT.dlg where xxxxx is a number of script.

    The simple script looks like this:

    dialog N (nuber of line in your xxxxxTEXT.dlg)
    return and SKIP def.

    Remember that to attache the script in to NPC you have to check DIALOG option, and than on the bottom fill the nuber of script.

    Rember that dialog must begin from NPC line, so this line always look like this:

    {N}{Text to man}{Text to woman}{}{}{}{}

    If it still not work, try to use an other number for the script. I know that some numbers just dont want to work.

    And dont worry about ERROR, this Error will show up only when you open WORLD EDIT before saving your new script. So if you first save the scr file and than open WorldEd.exe, will be no error at all. Because Editor will have time during opening to load this script to his memory.

    Everything that you and him says to do I did. And I did have world edit opened before saving it. And yes, I already tried restarting world edit, and it still doesn't work :/

    AND ONE MORE THING...

    Are you trying to edit orginal ARCANUM module? or just do your own module?

    So I hope youre 00001Dwarwen_Smithy.dlg is in Arcanum/modules/YOURMODULENAME/dlg catalog

    and your 00001Dwarwen_Smithy.src is in Arcanum/modules/YOURMODULENAME/src catalog

    ---
    I just put your dlg file into my test module.
    I wrote a script named 00001Dwarwen_Smithy.src
    0. Dialog 1
    1. Return and SKIP

    I checked in my NPC field DIALOG and put in to script ID nuber 1.

    So be sure if youre dlgs and scrs are in right catalogs.

    In my case it looks like this:
    Arcanum/modules/tests/dlg/00001Dwarwen_Smithy.dlg
    Arcanum/modules/tests/src/00001Dwarwen_Smithy.src

    so poblem is more serius. Did you install any patches? are you sure that you put my module in to Arcanum/modules/chrstmasegg?

    Maybe yous should reinstal your Arcanum?
    what version of WorldEd do you use? And what Arcanum version?
    Did you make something with dat files?

    In my computer my module work correct. So I think there is something wrong with your Arcanum. Try to reinstall the game maybe.

    (I hope you unpack this rar :) )

    Maybe, send me your module with Dialog, and I will check in my computer this. If it will be works, it means that you should reinstall your arcanum.

    Damnit, Rapidshare doesn't let me upload folders either. Do you have AIM or MSN or Xfire or something?

    Just, make small 1MB mod with dialogue, pack this using rar, and send to me. I want only see, if your dialogue will work with my Arcanum. Or compile this mode and send me compiled file.
