Would it be possible to add some more frames of animation to them? I'm sometimes having trouble discerning the moving wheels from the stationary ones because of the low frame rate. I think.

It's no biggie, though I'll murder you if you don't so something about it.

I'm not posting here because I agree with Toblix. Actually, I don't have any issues at all with the current animation of the gears.
I'm posting here because I have a question about the gears, and because I didn't want to start a new thread. I'm not into starting new threads, generally.

    So, my question is:
When does the gear color for 'new' vs. 'old' thread get reset? Is there any way to do this manually?

    Thanks,
    - Stravaig

    Hear! Hear!
And is there any way to key it to users instead of computers for those of us who browse from multiple locations?

Toblix: I don't really think it's a problem, but this is really up to Saint P as the graphic in question is his.

Stravaig, Aldin: No idea. I still need to figure out the gear color code, and possibly hack at it a bit. I'll look at it some time, but it'll have to wait a bit.

I realised just now that I was viewing that page at "work", on a Citrix Metaframe client. When I got home, I had no problem with it.

Consider my multiple death threats void.

Question though: Some gears move, and some don't, why don't they always do it or don't od it?

There's an explanation on the bottom of the page. I'm not exactly sure how it works even after reading it though.

Yeah, but these are new ones. They're about the gears. I don't understand them.

There isn't much to understand about the spinning gears. Threads with more than 25 posts in them have spinning gears. It's as simple as that.

Ah, I get it! So as to replace the usual "burning" posts and stuff?
