At first, I tried the game at the low 800x600. I thought that the perspective was too small, so I changed to 1024x768. The only thing I found there was sluggish scrolling and the loss of visuals. I switched back to 800x600 and it became pretty aparent to me that's the resolution to play. Greyhawk is just beautiful. Everything seems so alive, so detailed. Heh, I was in awe of the chickens running around. :p I think this is the resolution the game is meant to be played. The radial menus don't really take up that much space. What resolution do you play in?

The lowest possible resolution - 800x600x16. My computer would receive a meltdown otherwise, and I can't have that. At least, on this resolution, the game actually runs smooth.

The game's still very beautiful, and even though the hardcore gamer inside me screams "Upgrade! Upgrade! Upgrade!" I believe that 32 mb Geforce 2 MX200 will be in my computer a while longer. I'm not going for an upgrade until I really need it.

    ToEE rocks.

Even with a 128 meg Radeon 8500 AiW & a hot flat screen, 600 X 800. At higher resoloutions, the aera seen gets bigger, the details & characters get smaller & harder to see, & the sight radius stays the same.

I don't see why people griped about Lionheart's 600 X 800 resoloution..It has some of the best art I have seen at that resolution, & again details that would be lost at denser resolutions.

DarkElf, about that upgrade, you really need it now.

I play on 800x600, too. 1024x768 just zooms out too far. I like the screen being nice and close to the characters. And a higher res just doesn't improve how things look in this game, in fact I think they look much better at 800x600 than at 1024x768

I play at 1024x768x32. Yeah, I love pushing my computer. I actually don't experience very many slowdowns. Get them occasionally, like when there's about 20 creatures on the screen (especially if they're fire creatures of some sort), but otherwise the game runs very smoothly for me. Quick to load, quick to save, and yeah, looks great.

Admittedly, I haven't tried it at 800x600 yet, so I might give it a go later.

I don't get slowdowns on 1024x768 either, but 800x600 is just so much closer in, and I like to see the characters rather than the zoomed-out bad view from the higher rez.
