It's been a while since I've played a PC game (DivDiv)...
So, any new games that you can suggest?

BTW. Have anyone here played Mafia?

I've not bought a PC game since DivDiv. Lysa and I have gone back to DAoC for the last couple of months.

I'm telling you, whatever people say about level treadmills and lack of role-play, there is something really enjoyable about standing on a hill with a group of companions, looking across the valley at the enemy group (people from another Realm in this case) KNOWING that they are real people who will kill you if given a chance. No AI, no tricks that will always work on them, no guarantees of set plans working. You have to be better, more imaginative (or intelligent) strategists/leaders and a better functioning team, if you want to beat them.

It's re-introduced a bit of challenge and excitement into my games playing.

DAoC (Dark Age of Camelot) if I'am not mistaken has already been released a few months back...

It never did reach the Philippines because most of the users are still on
slow internet connection, DAoC being an online only game you'll need
a broadband connection to fully enjoy the game..

It's been out for over a year. I played it first about 9 months ago, but was bored before the end of the free trial. Recent gaps in the games market gave me the motivation to try it again (£6 for another month seemed better than £35 for a new game that I might only play a week or so). For some reason, this time around it is much more enjoyable. Maybe it's because we switched realms (from Midgard to Hibernia) or just that we've got better at it, I dunno.

Yes, it is online, but you do not need broadband. I know plenty of people who play it on dial up without problems. A decent graphics card (one with decent support for 3D) is probably more important.

I thought he was talking about DivDiv. :D Haven't started playing it yet. And as for slow connections, maybe that's why EverQuest isn't that popular here.
