I am about to buy a used game, on Amazon, right. (It's 'Darkstone'.)
Now, all of the sellers have listed their versions as sealed in, "Jewel cases."
What in God's name does this mean? Are jewel cases expansion packs?

Jewel cases are the little plastic cases that CDs come in. In other words, what you are buying doesn't come in a box, just the CD in a case, probably with whatever manual put directly on the CD, if included at all

I played it some but quit. I donno, something was missing. I didn't like the puzzles very much and couldn't find any REAL or useful magical items. Looked pretty though.
What drives many people to continuesly punish their poor mice playing diablo II is GREED. The hunger for MORE magical items. That element was absent in darkstone.

Thanks. I've always wanted to know that..
And thanks again for the review, Jinxed. Magical items didn't really drive me in Diablo; spells and magical development are what I always look for.
As I probably cannot obtain the game in any case...

Really? I find the whole spells and development aspect in diablo so handicapped that it never crosses my mind when thinking of such things. I'm playing IWD2 now and I find myself a little confused at times. Even though I spent 2 weeks reading the 3rd edition handbook there are far too many options compared to the other infinity engine games.

I actually like having a nearly incomprehensible amount of options. Makes it more replayable and each experience (should) be unique. Of course, I tend to make the same decisions over and over simply because I like the outcome of more gold/exp/whatever.

Mayhap I should see if my friend can get me a legal backup of IWD2 :)...

They make up some feats that donot appear in the 3rd edition D&D books.
Some feat list in the 3rd edition D&D books they where unable to have the game programs carry out like the item creation feats. ICW2 is than great and fun game.

Anyone notice that Sereina has gone? I blame Fatman for scaring her off with the whole "London sucks" thing.

While I'm at it: Starchybean has also disappeared.

If you didn't guess, they are registered users of the House of Lords forum. One is male and the other is female (I believe). They posted for awhile, but ran away when they saw you coming.

No...no we haven't. Maybe her husband finally realised she was naked most of the time, and decided to do something about it, like buying her some clothes :D.

You know, nbrosz, you took the really obvious joke, and made it not funny. I'm amazed at this ability of yours to take something good and humourous, and totally wreck it.

Yeah, I've seen her. Saw her name in the "Users Browsing this forum" bit up the top yesterday.

Yup, I'm around. Been a very busy end of semester, so I've only had time to pop in and read, not post, as of late.

Finished writing my bachelor's thesis on Thursday (76 pages, single-spaced!) and I'm rather proud of it. Received an A in my Bachelor's Capstone for it.

Right now I'm finishing up the final touches to my application for Ph.D. admission to Clemson University. Needless to say, busy. ;-)

I'm lurking around and reading, though. In the nude, if you still need that information for your own perverted reasons.*

*(Although, no, Luchaire - I'm not currently bathing in a vat filled with metal shards and guacamole, so you'll have to look elsewhere for stimulating mental images. I suggest http://www.rotten.com for your evocative pleasures.)
