The Batman villain "Bane" was originally going to be called "Door-handle Man", but the writers felt that it would be too dark for a Batman story.

    Good morning.

In that case, I hope you learn the moral of this story:

    Good evening.

For all of you who haven't already discovered this - a dishwasher doesn't have a little robot arm that comes out and scrubs the dishes, instead it just sprays soapy water around for an hour or so. I was very disappointed when I realised this, so sorry if I've ruined anyone's day.

    Good morning.

Word on the street is Paradox is considering making a new Vampire: the Masquerade game. Early days though so could just be rumour mill stuff.

Sometimes the rumour mill is right though.

    Good evening.

Sounds at the very least like they're going to making some World of Darkness game, even if it isn't Vampire, which is great news.

I find Vampire to be a pretty annoying experience now due to the unofficial patcher, who has turned his patches into straight mods and started putting new content into the game that is nothing like what was in the original - which I really have no interest in. While you can install it without the mod portion, it's an all or nothing approach, and some of the restored content are from genuine cut content (e.g. the shotgun they put back in that shoots phosphorus rounds) so you lose out on some of that nicer content just because you don't appreciate all the mod-style junk that was added in.

Then even if you install it without the mod stuff, just the bug-fixes, some of the things that were thought to be bugs are pretty annoying - e.g. added sounds to Ocean House which was previously creepily quiet because the sound effects were trapped in the walls. I'd say it was a super lazy last minute fix to put those sound effects in the walls to make things creepier, not because it was a genuine bug.

At some point I'll have to find a patch that lacks the placement of these crappy sound effects, but keeps the cool shotgun - because that's really all I more or less care about in terms of restoration. Hopefully if they make another new game it'd be as good I can play that and forget about the original, because it's such a bitter sweet experience now.

    Good morning.

The lack of an adequate word in the English language for the sensation of ingesting capsaicin is really starting to bug me. It's been hundreds of years, people, surely we can do better than "hot or spicy depending on context".

If the word "chili" didn't already end in "i" then we could say "chili-y", but that clearly doesn't work. Think before importing a loan word next time, guys. All in all, this whole situation reeks of poor planning.

    Good morning.

Yes, that's another way in which the ingestion of capsaicin involves poor planning.

    Good morning.

I get that hot peppers can get through a digestive tract in a hurry, what I find amazing is how they tend to overtake prior meals while they're on their way out.

    Good evening!
